Hitting Lesson Info
These will be instructed by Jim Hanson of Clutch Hitters in Bloomington. Jim is the
President and Co-Founder of Clutch Hitters. Currently, 14U Clutch Head Coach. Former Assistant Coach at
Gustavus College. Former Varsity High School Coach. Hitting instructor. Co-Founder of the newly-created 18+
Women's Pine to Prairie Fastpitch League. Jim will commute to Belle Plaine to provide hitting instruction. He will have the support of BPFA coaches in running his lessons.
PITCHING LESSON INFO
These will be instructed by Melissa Digatano of New Prague. Melissa is an educator and current head coach of the New Prague Trojan softball team who finished as the Class AA runner up in 2024. She was previously the head coach at Waseca High School from 2014-2018.
Catching Lesson Info
Catching lessons will be conducted by Nora Blaschko of New Prague. Nora is a junior at New Prague High School this year. She has been a starter on the New Prague Softball since her 8th grade year. She is a leader in the Renegades club program and has excelled at catcher and shortstop for both teams.
Fielding/Speed/Agility
Conducted by our local softball coaches.
These coaches have a wealth of knowledge in the area of softball fundamentals and will work with players to improve their game to the next level, including situational game training. Skill training will be alternated weekly with total body training, including speed, strength, agility, and muscle/joint care.
Dome Ball Tournaments
Winter Development players will have first priority in joining our Dome Teams winter tournaments. Each team will compete in 2 S&C Winter Tournaments. These tournaments are all 1 day tournaments with 3 or 4 game guarantees. Locations are typically in the southern half of the metro. Teams will be coached by our BPFA winter development coaches. Tournaments are NOT required, however they are included in the winter development cost. Winter tournaments are a great part of the development in the offseason!
